Boise Family Photographer Outdoor Snow Session Boise Idaho

I was totally expecting another snowpocalypse in Boise, Idaho this year, but no sign of it yet! I can't believe how warm it's been. I was able to squeeze in a gorgeous family session during the snow. This family was amazing and so fun to work with. The kids smiled like rockstars and had fun running around in the snow to all the different places at the Boise Depot. This location is great for pictures because you can get a variety of different backdrops. You have the train tracks, the beautiful, historic depot, stairs, a cityscape, waterfall, etc. It looks lush and inviting in the summer and magical in the winter time.

Even though we don't have snow on the ground, the weather is perfect for outdoor portraits. Winter sessions in Boise, Idaho are awesome because of the clothing and winter accessories that we can incorporate into the session. Cute hats, gloves, scarves, ear muffs, etc. can be great accessories to winter clothing. And boots! Boots look so great but you usually can't wear them in the blistering heat in the summer in Boise. During these colder sessions, I usually recommend bringing a blanket or coat so you can stay warm in between shots. This works great for the little kids too!
